T's Ten, Week of 6/23

Happy Summer! Here are my favorites available this week at Oddfellows! P.S. A little birdie told me the container with new goods will likely be arriving mid-July. Stay tuned for more info on that!

1. For me, summertime is all about lounging. Whether it's by the pool, or on a screened in porch with some lemonade, lounging is absolutely necessary. And you may as well lounge on something unusual, right? This Edwardian medical chair dating back to 1910 is just the ticket. Dealer #44, Edwardian Medical Chair, $495.

 2. While we're on the topic of lounging, you'll need a rolling bar cart to sit close by your lounge chair. This industrial rolling cart would be perfect for displaying and containing all of your bar accessories and spirits. I love this idea, because the typical bar cart is a little bit more dainty...this one will really get the job done! Dealer #NYA, Rolling Cart, $649.

 3. If a bar cart won't contain all of your drinking needs, then this cute bar certainly will. And you can play bartender to friends at the same time. I love the wood panels paired with the cast iron, which provides a vintage-chic feel. Bottoms up, I say. Dealer #AE1, Iron and Wood Bar, $595.

 4. I talk a lot about storage, particularly because our house doesn't have a whole lot of ways to store and hide away things..what are those called, closets I think? So anytime something comes through the door that I can use to tuck away our junk, I'm excited. I especially love these vintage gym baskets. They're the perfect size to fit on bookshelves! Dealer #02, Gym Baskets, $24 each.

 5. When I was little, a cousin loaned me her antique dollhouse for a few years since she had outgrown playing with it. I remember every detail of the dollhouse, right down to the vintage wallpaper on the walls. Naturally, this dollhouse brings back a lot of memories for me, and I just love it. Although an obvious choice for a child's room, I think this would stand alone as a folksy decorative object in a living or dining room just as easily. And the little metal folk art man leaning out the window is a welcome addition for sure! Dealer #DC, Dollhouse $125.

 6. Now for a little lamp love. How cute are these pair of orange and chrome lights?!? They are a perfect petite size and would fit in just about anywhere in my house!:) Dealer #231, Pair of Orange and Chrome Lights, $109.

 7. Those little chrome lights would look fun sitting on top of this Lane console table, don't you think? I love this piece, because it's right at sofa table/console height, and would also work in an entryway. I'm told it's a more rare Lane piece. Perfect for all of you collectors! Dealer #83, Lane Console, $395.

 8. While we're on a retro kick, check out this Danish teak sofa! I love, love the lines of this piece. The cushions are newly upholstered, so there are plenty of years of use. A perfect compliment to any mid-century modern home for sure. Dealer #297, Danish Sofa, $1200.

 9. And now, for something a little different, I'm really digging this cast iron lantern. Wouldn't it be sweet sitting on a porch? Imagine how lovely a pillar candle would look flickering inside. Dealer #133, Cast Iron Lantern, $85.

10. Finally, a little something for the bedroom. These French Provincial nightstands are the perfect compliment to a girly boudoir. These are offered from Once More Decor, and Sally did a lovely job with them. Especially considering she used a painting technique to give the impression of marble. Yep, those are faux marble tops! I couldn't tell the difference until I actually touched the top. Beautifully done! Dealer #OMD, Pair of French Provincial Nightstands, $495.

T's Ten, Week of 6/9 England Edition!

Hopefully by now you've all had a chance to peruse the album of pictures from Tom and Kelly's latest buying trip in England. While I held down the fort for the last week or so, T&K searched all of England (or a little bit of it at least) for new goodies, and what a great assortment they've found! I am eager to see everything in person. It was hard narrowing down my favorites from this trip, which is always a good thing! For those of you that have asked, we do not have an exact date on when this shipment will arrive to the warehouse but it should be here by the early to mid portion of July. At this time we do not have pricing available, but if you have any questions feel free to ask! And now..my favorites! P.S. Did you really think I could narrow down to 10 choices?? I think there are actually closer to 20 favorites in this lot so far...I couldn't resist!

Aren't these enamelware buckets the best? I love the bright colors stacked up together.

This industrial cart is awesome. I'd love to use it in our kitchen as an island!

This glass front cabinet is adorable. I love the different sizes of the panes of glass. This would also be a fun addition to a kitchen if used as a cabinet to store away dishes, etc.

This wardrobe is for all of you bamboo lovers out there. Isn't it great? I'm really loving the look of bamboo lately, and this wardrobe is not only super functional, but also super sophisticated.

So in love with this filing cabinet. I love the fun red color, and my office would surely benefit from this since I could hide away all the clutter!

This bookcase is beautiful. I love the leaded glass front, and the functional top allows for two drawers, and an area to showcase a few smalls or vase of flowers.

This grassy green chest of drawers is so lovely. Mamas with babies, take note. I think this would be awesome in a nursery!

Clearly I'm feeling the green! This pair of kelly green doors are too cute for words!!! I know I've met a few folks recently looking for old doors and this are a great burst of color.

This stag pub sign could quite possibly be my very favorite thing on this list. Can you believe that I actually do not have a pub sign in our house at this moment?? That's kind of ridiculous, considering where I work, and I think I'll have to rectify the situation with this guy...or one of the many other pub signs Tom and Kelly were able to find might do as well. :)

How sweet is this retro chest of drawers? Also a great addition to a nursery or child's room, the dealer that T&K purchased this from covered the drawers in vintage wallpaper. Absolutely adorable.

This is a lovely pine chest of drawers, probably early 1900s if I had to guess. I would love to see this used in an airy entryway with a giant floral arrangement on top.

Seriously loving this piece as well. I've always appreciated a really nice worn-in piece of wood, and this work table does the trick.

These industrial benches are just too much fun. I'm not sure on the height if it would work since I haven't seen them in person, but wouldn't these be fun at the base of a bed?

This really shouldn't need any explanation but...dress forms with hearts!! So cool!!

If there's one thing my husband should know about me by now, it's that I absolutely love cypress and driftwood, so this little stand is a big favorite for me. I would use it to display our potted plants...BUT I also happen to think this is the perfect alternative to those not-so-pretty climbing devices you can buy for cats. And since we have two cats...they deserve only the best when it comes to climbing, am I right?

And let's end with some nice velvety goodness. This pair of chairs are super feminine and I adore the tufting.

So what do you guys think? I know I'm excited and really thrilled with what Tom and Kelly were able to find. The best part is that these pictures are only a portion of the lot, so there will be lots more to discover when you come visit us in July.

New Dealer Sneak Peek

Talk about a booth after my own heart! We are happy to have Tim and David join us at Oddfellows. Their mix of vintage, mid-century, industrial, and folk art fit right in and there are several pieces I've got my eye on already. Be sure to stop by this weekend to check out their booth before I buy it all!

Week In An Instant

It's definitely feeling like summer is here in Asheville and we are enjoying it for sure! This week I've been holding down the fort while Tom and Kelly are overseas shopping. It's always an exciting time when they are shopping. I go to bed with visions of credenzas, industrial tables, and eclectic artwork dancing in my head as I wonder what they've found. Be sure to stay tuned, because we will certainly share some preview pictures once T&K return stateside. In the meantime, here's what I've been up to!

Images Clockwise, Left to Right:
1. This picture was taken at The Scene's Asheville Beer Week Kickoff Party, hosted at the newly opened Mill Room event space. I loved the Mill Room and if you're looking for an event space in Asheville, this one is super affordable and has a great industrial backdrop. Read more here.
2. This gas light fixture, an Egyptian revival throwback, is amazing. She's a little bit sassy, and will be sure to greet you at Oddfellows this summer.
3.On an afternoon drive with Ethan in Leicester, we discovered this little guy sitting pretty by the side of the road. I immediately began to take thousands of photos...moments like these definitely remind us how lucky we are that we landed in Asheville, where the mountains and farmland are just a short drive away.
4. I always reflect on the incredible people I've met at this point in my life, and am lucky that so many of them are talented makers, crafters, and thinkers. This certainly holds true with Karie and her partner Rob. They are the creative force behind Shelter, specializing in beautifully hand sewn leather goods and bags, among many other talents. A little while back I was able to visit Karie at her studio in the River Arts District to pick fabrics for my own bag, and this photo is the beautiful result. We are truly lucky to have these two in Asheville. Their bags are delicious and will last a lifetime. Check out more at their website Shelter Protects You.
5. We've been celebrating a lot of birthdays this week. This is a shot of Etta, with a custom birthday hat, celebrating my mom's birthday on the 31st, Carol's birthday on the 3rd, and Erin's birthday on the 4th.
6. One more shot of farm animal cuties.
